The Holy Trinity
Icons of the Trinity depict an event recounted in Genesis where "three young men" appear before Abraham and his wife Sarah. Christ is thought to be the centre figure and is associated with the tree to represent the cross. The Father is on the left with the building to suggest the Church and the Holy Spirit is represented on the right with the hill to signify spiritual ascent.
